B: Best friend? I have a couple of close friends, Vanesa is my very bestest friend, she is absolutely bonkers like me, and she is also Spanish which makes her even more crazy, also my boyfriends sister-in-law, Jennie, has become a very close friend of mine *waves at Jen*  cue old drunken pictures.....

C: Cake or pie? Oooo I do love both, but I have become a cake monster recently!

D: Day of choice? Saturdays, I always seem to get lots done on a Saturday then this usually follows with a few beverages.

E: Essential item? Emma put her laptop and I have to agree, I would be lost without my laptop.

I: Indulgence? A very large class of Baileys, I just love the stuff.

Guerlian Cils D'enfer Maxi Lash Mascara.....

This week I was sent a little sample selection from Debenhams when placing an order online, the samples were mainly perfumes and 3 of them were for men which I found slightly bizarre but my other half was pleased, anyway, this was one of the samples, and before I opened it I thought...oh another perfume sample as it came on a card like perfume vials usually do (yes I should have read the packaging).....

"Guerlain Cils D`Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara. Volume Creating - Curl Sculpting Mascara.

Maxi lash in a blink! The it-accessory mascara, eyes` ultimate ally. The luxury of simplicity.

An innovative formula for maximum volume, curls and hold. The smooth, supple texture

that?s easy to work with. The layers that can be piled on ever so delicately to create just the

right volume for each and every mood and moment. Instant, stylish, long-lasting magic."

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it up to find a mini mascara! It reminds me of a mini toothpaste tube!

This retails for £22.00 which is quite pricey for a mascara, not as pricey as my current favourite which is a mascara by Cailyn and I posted about it here, and only £4.00 more than Benefit's They're Real, so if it's good then I think I would stretch to £22.00.

Here is my before photo....hardly any lashes at all!

This picture is with one quick sweep, not too bad!

And after another coat.....

These pictures don't give show the full effect of the mascara, it is fantastic, my lashes are much much longer and thicker without being clumpy, the only difficulty I had using this is the size of the wand, but obviously this is because it's a sample!

Would I spend £22.00 on this? Yes I would, if I had the money spare then definitely, but I won't be rushing to get it just yet as I have 2 tubes of my fave Cailyn mascara thanks to a lovely blogging friend Paula who writes La Vida Fresa - Thank you Paula xxx

What is your favourite mascara, I would love to know?

A Cheap Multi-Purpose Product Everyone Should Have.....

This morning I woke up, had a shower and then went into my little beauty room to get ready, first I went to freshen up my hair with some Batiste dry shampoo.....empty, damn. Then I went to spray on some deodorant....empty, oh god today is not going well.....

So frantically I was searching around to find another bottle of each or something that would help me out!

I then remembered many many years ago someone telling me they use baby powder (talc) in emergencies and it has many many uses.....

Dry shampoo is powder based, the powder soaks up the grease in your hair making it look and feel less greasy, so I grabbed my talc and popped some on my roots and brushed through......fantastic, now I wouldn't use this all of the time as it doesn't smell as nice as Batiste but it did the job just fine!

Next for deodorant, luckily I wasn't going to be wearing a colour that the talc would show up on, so I carefully dusted my armpits with some powder, silky smooth and suprisingly lasted for the day!

As I was doing this I remembered another tip a friend told me, she used to buy expensive foot odour powders which you pop into your pumps to stop your feet from sweating, we all get it, especially us girls when we live in pumps all summer so I have been using talc instead and it works wonders!

Then I thought to myself I wonder if it can be used in any other way? And yes it can! When I am using loose powder eye shadows, or even normal eye shadows I get fall out, and I have always been told to put loose powder underneath my eye to catch the shadow then dust away once finished, so why should I use my expensive powder to just dust it away when I have applied my eyeshadow, use talc!! It doesn't make your face white, which I know some people will be thinking it might, which is fantastic!

This bottle cost me 99p and it has so so many uses! I think everyone should have a 'stand-by' bottle of talc for life's little emergencies.

Do you have a go to emergency product, or have you ever used talc in the ways I have said? I would love to know!

Barry M Textured Nail Polish - Kingsland Road.....

Recently I have really got back into nail polish, over the winter I kind of fell out of love with it and got really lazy with painting my nails, but now the sun is shining it's great to have some colour on my nails, however.....

I was recently sent this from a friend and I really can't make my mind up whether I like it or not.

Barry M textured nail polish RRP £3.99.

This is shade Kingsland Road 304 - A gorgeous baby pink with a sand effect running through it.....

I think I like it, but every time my nails went anywhere near my clothes it felt really bizarre. The shade is very pretty but I just kept thinking my nails look like sandpaper, I know that is the effect but I can't make up my mind....

Have you tried any polishes like this? What do you think of them?

Let me know and help me make up my mind.

Charity Shop Bargains #5.....

I have been Charity shop shopping again today! I wasn't really meant to be shopping but as I walked through my village I thought I would just pop in and have a quick browse and oh my goodness I am glad I did.....

Firstly I found these very cute cups and saucers for £1.99 for both, I am going to use these for makeup brushes, I really love the design.....

Next I spotted this pretty glass jar which I thought would be perfect for cotton wool, the painting is slightly worn on the front but I think it's gorgeous all the same, this cost me a tiny 50p!

Then I spotted a Ciate nail polish staring at me, this is shade Dangerous Affair which is a deep red I opened it to check if it was gloopy but it's absolutely fine, this also cost me 50p!

And finally the biggest bargain of them all, a REN set, this is the old style packaging of the Moroccan Rose Set and these retail on the REN website for £18.00 and this cost me £1.00!

Inside you gets a 50ml body wash, a 30ml bath oil and a 50ml body cream. The shower gel had leaked slightly but I definitely cannot moan at that price!

I think I am slowly becoming an ambassador for Charity shops, I LOVE them far too much and I am filling my house with all sorts of wonderful (to me) things, my boyfriend however thinks I am bonkers!

All of my items were bought from Hospice Of The Good Shepard and Claire House both in Chester.

Have you been to your local Charity shops recently?

Veet Easy Wax Electrical Roll On Kit.....Not So Easy.....

As most of you will know, I am a BzzAgent. BzzAgent is a website that ask you lots of questions and invite you to test products out (if you want to sign up you can do here). Recently they asked if I would like to test out a Veet Easy Wax Kit so of course I agreed, I have to admit I have never waxed my legs before I tend to stick to a good old fashioned razor so this was a new experience for me!

I was sent.....

Veet Easy Wax Electrical Roll On Kit RRP £29.99 (You can pick this up in Superdrug for half price at the moment) and I was also sent an underarm and bikini refill wax RRP £9.99.

In the kit you receive a self heating unit that heats the wax to the correct temperature, a little stand to stand the unit on, a wax cartridge for your legs some very small waxing strips and 4 wax removal wipes.

So to get started you simply place the wax cartridge into the unit and apparently wait 20 minutes for it to heat up, well after 20 minutes I went to roll the wax on my leg and it was near impossible so I left it for another 10 minutes and tried again, no, still not ready, so after a further 10 minutes the wax seemed ready to roll.

I rolled it onto my leg and followed the instructions of what to do next, I am sure you don't need the details, simply roll on the wax in the direction your hair grows, firmly place over the waxing strip, pull your skin tight and then pull the strip quick and fast in the opposite direction of your hair growth and.....

Nothing, not one single hair was removed, sorry that is a lie, maybe 2 or 3 at the most, so I tried again, another couple of hairs, and again another couple.....this went on for about 10 minutes before I decided I didn't like this at all, I have to say it didn't hurt as much as I thought but that is probably due to it hardly pulling out any hairs and also the wax strips were really small so to do both of my legs would have taken me all day.

I was going to do before and after pictures but there really wouldn't have been much difference, here is the wax strip I used in an extreme close up.....

As you can see, very very few hairs.

For all of the messing about you would have to do to actually wax both legs I would prefer to pay someone else to do them for me! I have spoke to other ladies who are also testing this out and the majority agree with me.

Sorry Veet, I will stick to my razor or I may venture into trying your creams, this to me is definitely not worth the money.

Do you wax at home? What type of hair removal do you use?

Bloggers - Do You Wants To Work With Brands.....?

Blogging is something I love to do, not because I sometimes get samples sent to me, because I genuinely love sharing my thoughts with you all and interacting with like minded people but sometimes us bloggers find it hard to make ends meet, trying to keep up with all the latest crazes to share with you and yes we would like to work with brands and sometimes be compensated for our time now and again.

I recently spoke to Richie who works for a website called *Hire Bloggers UK*, Hire Bloggers is a new service that is looking to connect brands with the right bloggers, which I think great for us! Most brands are looking for bloggers for their website's blog, or exposure of their business on our blogs.

Bloggers, I think, have a great network of people who they can share information with and Hire Bloggers helps you and companies work together, for example, I was once asked to review Vanish (stain remover) on my blog, now I don't mean to sound ungrateful but Vanish has no relevance to me or my blog in my eyes so I turned the offer down, Hire Blogger helps companies connect with the right bloggers from the same niche.

So, why am I telling you this, well if you are a blogger yourself you can register on the website so if a company contacts Hire Blogger they can connect them to you and maybe you can work together, I think this is a fab idea and I have signed up myself so I thought I would share this with you, they also have some really interesting articles about making the most of your blog and I really like how the website it written, clear, easy to read and relaxed.

They are also wanting new bloggers who sign up to their website to potentially write for them and they are also giving away Tesco gift cards on their facebook page which you can find HERE.

If you would like to apply to be on Hire Bloggers you can do so here. Why not give it a go?
